The Zangezur Corridor and the U.S.: A Neighbor Iran Will Have for the Next Century!

The Zangezur Corridor, one of the most debated economic routes in the world, could have been a golden opportunity for Iran. However, due to misguided policies and confrontational approaches with the global community, Iran has effectively lost access to the European market.

Kokcha News Agency: The Zangezur Corridor has been a hot topic in global economic discussions for years. Iran could have maximized its share of this economic opportunity by adopting the right policies. However, due to the wrong decisions by the ruling establishment and its confrontational stance with the international community, Iran has effectively been cut off from the European market.

Many have tried to understand the Iranian public’s opinion on this matter, but what’s striking is that economists seem to think this development is Russia’s doing. In reality, this is not the case.

If we look closer at the issue, we might even come to a completely different conclusion. Why? Because Russia is on the verge of making peace with Ukraine. Statements from world leaders suggest that Putin’s request to annex eastern Ukrainian regions and Crimea has been accepted. If Zelensky resists, we could witness intense bombing in Kyiv, followed by a peace agreement.

Before meeting with his envoy, Putin had two important, lengthy calls with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel. After the meeting with the U.S. presidential envoy, Trump easily brought up the issue of territorial division. What’s the connection between these two events? Putin didn’t give the Zangezur Corridor to the U.S. to claim eastern Ukrainian regions; he gave Iran’s card to Israel to expand its map.

With this deal, Israel, after 46 years, will ease its grip on the U.S., significantly reducing its military expenditures. On the other hand, Iran becomes Israel’s main ally in the region, and together they will experience unprecedented progress.

The Second Part of the Zangezur Corridor: Equations That Bring Lasting Peace to the Middle East
Israel has long been involved in the “Peace of the Century,” also known as the Abraham Accords. Although this agreement has been signed and seems to be progressing well, there are underlying policies that overshadow it.

Issues such as the historical wars between Muslims and Jews, the rejection of the Abraham Accords by Arab communities (ordinary people in countries like Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE), and other factors have left Israeli politicians with a big question mark about the future of this agreement. Will it be permanent?

The answer is simple: No. In the Middle East, the only country and people who have no ideological issues with Israel and even share a historical background with Jews, hosting the largest number of Jews outside Israel before the 1979 revolution, are Iran and its people. Therefore, with significant changes in Iran’s political landscape, the path to lasting peace between the two countries and the establishment of the “Cyrus Pact” becomes clear.

All the political maneuvers on the global stage are designed to pave the way for the Cyrus Pact and the dominance of Iran and Israel in the region.

The elimination of Hezbollah’s military wing in Lebanon, the dissolution of the Popular Mobilization Forces, the partition of Syria, and the destruction of Hamas are all part of this grand plan to allow Iran to enter the regional power game with minimal damage and a democratic transition.
