Queen Elizabeth Reportedly Disappointed by Details of Harry and Meghan’s Wedding, Claims Biographer

Kokcha News Agency – According to a report in the Daily Mail, biographer Sally Bedell Smith has revealed that Queen Elizabeth was unhappy with several aspects of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding in May 2018. Smith, who has written extensively about the royal family, claims that the Queen was particularly displeased with the inclusion of celebrities she did not know on the guest list.

Uninvited Family Members:
Smith alleged that Harry and Meghan excluded several family members from the wedding, opting instead to invite distant acquaintances. “Meghan and Harry crossed off some cousins and added random people to the list. This was another disappointment for the Queen,” Smith said.

Church Controversy:
The Queen was also reportedly upset that Harry and Meghan went directly to the Archbishop of Canterbury to request a wedding at St. George’s Chapel, bypassing her as the head of the Church of England and “Defender of the Faith.” This move reportedly made the Queen feel sidelined in the decision-making process.

Timing of Pregnancy Announcement:
Another source of frustration for the Queen was the timing of Meghan’s pregnancy announcement in October 2018, which coincided with Princess Eugenie’s wedding. Smith described the timing as “tactless” and claimed it saddened the Queen.

Queen’s Initial Impression of Meghan:
Smith noted that the Queen initially had a positive impression of Meghan but became uncomfortable with her increasingly assertive demeanor. The Queen reportedly believed that Meghan had a calculated approach to the marriage and that Harry’s weaker personality made him susceptible to her influence.
