UNICEF: 28 Children Killed Daily in Gaza Due to Israeli Attacks

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has reported that an average of 28 children are killed daily in Gaza as a result of Israel’s ongoing attacks, with hunger and malnutrition also claiming young lives.

Kokcha News Agency – The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has issued a stark warning about the devastating impact of Israel’s military operations in Gaza, revealing that an average of 28 children are killed every day. In a written statement, UNICEF highlighted the dire situation in the Gaza Strip, where children are dying not only from bombings but also from hunger, malnutrition, and the lack of essential services.

UNICEF’s Statement:
“Death by bombardment. Death by malnutrition and starvation. Death due to the lack of aid and vital services. In Gaza, an average of 28 children—a classroom full of children—are killed every day. The children of Gaza need food, water, medicine, and protection. Above all, they need an immediate ceasefire,” the statement read.

Children Killed Since October 7:
Since Israel launched its attacks on October 7, 2023, over 18,000 children have been killed, according to reports.

Hunger Crisis in Gaza:
Israel has imposed a complete blockade on the Gaza Strip since March 2, severely restricting the flow of humanitarian aid and commercial goods into the region. This has exacerbated the hunger crisis, with the Palestinian Health Ministry reporting that 8 more people, including 1 child, died in the past 24 hours due to starvation and malnutrition.

The total number of deaths from hunger has now reached 188, including 94 children.
