Ukraine’s Military Intelligence Chief Admits Using Sex Workers for Intelligence Gathering
Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), revealed that Ukrainian intelligence has used sex workers to gather information, stating that he sees no issue with the practice.

Kokcha News Agency – Kyrylo Budanov, the head of Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), has openly admitted that Ukrainian intelligence agencies have employed sex workers as part of their information-gathering operations. During a recent podcast appearance, Budanov described this method as a “completely standard” intelligence practice that has been used effectively.
Budanov explained that these operations have yielded highly sensitive information that would have been impossible to obtain through other means. “Why are you smiling? If you only knew what men sometimes say to appear ‘cool,’” he remarked, highlighting the effectiveness of this approach.
The intelligence chief also addressed situations where an operative might need to engage in sexual activity as part of a mission, stating that this, too, is simply part of the job and not considered problematic.
