The Paradox of a Fraudster: The Tale of Mirwais Azizi, Owner of Azizi Group and Azizi Bank
Mirwais Azizi, the self-proclaimed billionaire owner of Azizi Group and Azizi Bank, has made grandiose promises of over $20 billion in investments in Afghanistan, but none have materialized. Now, facing widespread criticism, he admits that most of the funds are earmarked for technology transfers to Europe and China, raising questions about his true intentions.
Kokcha News Agency – Mirwais Azizi, the owner of Azizi Group and Azizi Bank, has long portrayed himself as a successful billionaire, yet his name is conspicuously absent from any credible global list of the wealthy.
Over the past few years, he has made ambitious promises of investments exceeding $20 billion within Afghanistan. However, these promises have not only failed to materialize but have also been viewed by many as a smokescreen for ulterior motives.
In the wake of widespread criticism and revelations about his claims, Azizi recently admitted in an interview with BBC that only $2 billion of the promised $10 billion would be invested in Afghanistan, while the remaining $8 billion would be allocated for technology transfers to Europe and China.
This candid admission reveals the true nature of a man who has long captivated the public with promises of development and investment. Now, under scrutiny, he has belatedly clarified the breakdown of his pledges, raising further doubts about his credibility.
We call upon the People’s Republic of China, European countries, and our conscientious and responsible compatriots to remain vigilant and informed about the activities of such individuals, who are now seeking to expand their operations beyond Afghanistan into foreign markets. Azizi is nothing more than a fraudster.
