The event in Istanbul, organized by the Palestine Support Platform, brought together 15 civil society organizations and numerous citizens at Beyazıt Square. Participants carried banners and chanted slogans such as “Killer Israel, get out of Palestine” and “The children of Gaza are waiting for us.” The march began with participants lighting their phones and small lanterns, symbolizing hope for Gaza.

Mehmet Güney, the head of the Palestine Support Platform, described the event as a historic night, emphasizing that the march from Beyazıt Square to Hagia Sophia was filled with prayers and chants of solidarity. He expressed hope that the march would inspire the people of Gaza and strengthen their resolve.

Güney also condemned the Zionist regime in Tel Aviv and its supporters, particularly the United States and the United Kingdom, for financing the war. He highlighted the dire situation in Gaza, where over 62,000 people have been killed, 15,000 are held captive, and more than 100,000 are in need of medical treatment.

The event concluded with a Quran recitation and a prayer by Ali Erbaş, the head of Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs.
