The World Can’t Figure Out Who Trump Supports

Kokcha News Agency – The world is struggling to understand where former U.S. President Donald Trump stands following his recent summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska. Media outlets have highlighted the lack of clarity surrounding Trump’s position on key issues, particularly regarding the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

Bild: Reports indicate that the world remains “in the dark” about the details of the negotiations between the two leaders and is unsure who Trump “really” supports.

The Washington Post: After the summit, the former U.S. leader appeared to shift his stance on the need for a ceasefire in Ukraine to achieve a peace agreement.

The New York Times: There is currently no call for a ceasefire, no deadline, and no plan to impose sanctions on Russia.

The Wall Street Journal: Trump’s meeting in Alaska was marked by the former showman’s signature extravagance, including a red carpet, military aircraft, and a ride in the presidential limousine with his Russian counterpart.

Upcoming Meeting with Zelensky:
Bild: Trump has given Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky the opportunity to rally European politicians, but no formal invitations have been extended.

Politico: Finnish President Sauli Niinistö and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg may accompany Zelensky on his trip to Washington.

The Economist: After Alaska, a new confrontation with Zelensky is expected in the Oval Office.

Canada Strike:
Fortune: Air Canada flight attendants began their strike around 1 AM local time on Saturday (8:30 AM Tehran time), and almost simultaneously, Air Canada announced it would not allow strikers into airports.

The New York Times: The strike by 10,000 flight attendants ended about 12 hours after it began, but before that, the strike had effectively grounded the airline.

The New York Post: The sticking point in negotiations is the union’s demand for compensation for crew members for time spent on the ground between flights and assisting passengers. Currently, crew members are only compensated when the plane is in motion.
