3 Taliban Killed and Wounded in Takhar

Kokcha News Agency – On Friday night, August 24, 2024, around 8:00 PM, forces of the Afghan Freedom Front carried out a rocket attack on a Taliban base in Khwaja Bahauddin district of Takhar province.

The attack targeted the district headquarters, resulting in the death of two Taliban militants and injuring one other. The Taliban, who have been in control of the area since their return to power in 2021, have faced increasing resistance from anti-Taliban groups like the Afghan Freedom Front.

This latest attack is part of a series of ongoing clashes between Taliban forces and resistance groups in northern Afghanistan, particularly in provinces like Takhar, where the Taliban’s control has been challenged.
