Trump’s Mic Left On: Caught Talking About Putin

Kokcha News Agency – During a summit at the White House with Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, and seven European leaders, an open microphone caught Donald Trump, the former U.S. President, making comments about Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia.

According to reports from U.S. media, Trump was overheard whispering to Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, saying, “I think he (Putin) wants to make a deal. I think he wants to make a deal for me, you understand? As crazy as it sounds.”

Trump also commented on Macron, stating, “I liked him from the beginning, now I like him even more. This is good, this is unusual.”

Steve Witkoff, Trump’s advisor, in an interview with CNN, stated that they had reached some kind of agreement and that the U.S. could offer support similar to NATO’s Article 5. He added, “This is the first time we’re hearing something like this, and the Russians have accepted it.”

Mark Rutte, NATO’s Secretary-General, also thanked Trump for the agreement, saying that such support from the U.S. and European partners is a “big step.”

However, when news of Trump’s success reached Moscow, the Kremlin attempted to backtrack on Putin’s commitments to the former U.S. President. The Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement rejecting any scenario involving the creation of a military alliance in Ukraine with the participation of NATO countries.

Trump, in a post on the social media platform Truth Social, announced that after talks with Zelensky and European leaders, he had contacted Putin and was trying to arrange a trilateral meeting between the U.S., Russia, and Ukraine. He wrote, “This is a very good and early step for a war that has lasted almost four years. Everyone is very happy about the possibility of peace between Russia and Ukraine.”
