Lebanon’s Prime Minister: Israel is Increasingly Isolated Globally

Kokcha News Agency – Nawaf Salam, Lebanon’s Prime Minister, during a meeting with Jaafar Hassan, Jordan’s Prime Minister in Amman, declared that Israel is sinking into growing isolation globally. The two leaders agreed to form a Joint Higher Committee between Jordan and Lebanon in 2025.

According to a statement released by Jordan’s Prime Minister’s Office on the social media platform X, the committee will focus on expanding cooperation in trade, transportation, and energy.

The Lebanese Prime Minister said during the meeting, “Israel is sinking into increasing isolation globally.” He also emphasized that Lebanon relies on Jordan’s support in this process.

Jaafar Hassan, Jordan’s Prime Minister, had previously stated that the vision of “Greater Israel”, proposed by Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s Prime Minister, is a fantasy, and that the Tel Aviv government has been isolated due to its extremist policies.

Bezalel Smotrich, Israel’s far-right Finance Minister, announced on August 13 that he plans to approve the “E1” project to expand Jewish settlements in East Jerusalem to eliminate the idea of a Palestinian state.

Netanyahu also claimed that he feels he has undertaken a historical and spiritual mission and remains committed to the vision of “Greater Israel,” which includes the occupied Palestinian territories.

The term “Greater Israel” is used by some Zionists, including Ze’ev Jabotinsky, the founder of the Revisionist Zionist movement and the ideological father of the ruling Likud party, to refer to modern-day Israel, along with the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Jordanian territories.
