Taliban’s Culture Minister: “Youth Must Be Reformed”

Kokcha News Agency – Khairullah Khairkhwa, the Taliban’s Minister of Information and Culture, has once again emphasized the need to “reform” the thoughts of Afghan youth. This statement came during a meeting with the Indonesian chargé d’affaires in Kabul.

In a press release, the Taliban’s Ministry of Information and Culture claimed that the Indonesian embassy had promised to digitize public libraries and donate books to the group.

However, cultural observers note that this promise of digitization comes at a time when the Taliban has been systematically collecting and destroying books that do not align with their ideology over the past few years.

Experts view the Taliban’s silence on the specifics of “thought reform” as a clear indication of their policies, which are not based on education but rather on brainwashing and erasing the diverse identity of Afghan society.
