Zelensky: We Use Our Own Weapons in Attacks on Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that Ukraine is using domestically produced long-range weapons in attacks on Russian territory, dismissing claims that the U.S. has restricted the use of ATACMS missiles.
Kokcha News Agency – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has clarified that Ukraine is using its own domestically produced long-range weapons in attacks on Russian territory. During a press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Zelensky denied allegations that the U.S. has prohibited Ukraine from using ATACMS missiles against Russia.
Zelensky stated, “We are using our own long-range weapons. We have not had any discussions with the U.S. on this matter recently.”
He acknowledged that in the past, Ukraine had received warnings from the U.S., particularly after attacks on Russia’s energy infrastructure. However, Zelensky emphasized, “This issue is no longer on our agenda.”
The Wall Street Journal had previously reported on August 23 that the Pentagon had been preventing Ukraine from using long-range missiles against Russian territory for months.
