German Police Clash with Pro-Palestine Protesters in Berlin

Police in Berlin intervened forcefully during a pro-Palestine demonstration, where protesters gathered to condemn Israel’s actions in Gaza, leading to clashes and several arrests.

Kokcha News Agency – In Berlin’s Hackescher Markt district, around 200 pro-Palestine demonstrators gathered to protest Israel’s ongoing military actions in Gaza, which they described as genocide. The protesters also highlighted the killing of journalists and the severe hunger crisis in Gaza.

Demonstrators carried banners with messages such as “Stop the genocide in Gaza,” “Let food into Gaza, now,” and “End hunger in Gaza, bring in the bread.” Chants of “Terrorist Israel,” “Child-killer Israel,” and “Freedom for Gaza” echoed during the rally.

The Berlin police responded with a heavy-handed approach, leading to clashes between law enforcement and protesters. At one point, an officer was seen punching a female protester. Eight demonstrators were arrested during the incident.

The protest was part of a growing wave of international demonstrations calling for an end to the violence in Gaza and highlighting the humanitarian crisis unfolding in the region.
