Kokcha News Agency– Izzat al-Rishq, a prominent leader of the Hamas movement, emphasized that the Palestinian resistance is reshaping the dynamics of the conflict in Gaza. His comments come as the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, launched a new operation in the Gaza Strip, resulting in one death and nine injuries, with four Israeli soldiers still missing.
According to Israeli media reports, the Israeli army fears that at least four of its soldiers may have been captured by Hamas during the clashes, and a large-scale search operation is underway to locate them.
Israeli media described the security incident in Gaza’s Zaytoun neighborhood as one of the most challenging events since October 7, 2023.
Zionist sources also reported that intense fighting has resumed between the Israeli army and Hamas fighters in the Zaytoun neighborhood. According to these reports, Al-Qassam Brigades fighters set up ambushes and launched a fierce attack against an Israeli military unit in the area.
Israeli media stated that a large number of Al-Qassam Brigades fighters participated in the operation, targeting well-fortified Israeli army positions.
Six Israeli military helicopters dispatched to evacuate wounded soldiers were reportedly met with heavy fire in the Zaytoun neighborhood.
Israeli media confirmed that four soldiers remain missing and are believed to have been captured by resistance forces during the clashes in Zaytoun.
While earlier reports indicated three security incidents in different areas, a new and difficult security incident has now been reported in a fourth location within the Zaytoun neighborhood.
Israeli media also reported that heavy weapons are being used in direct clashes between Hamas fighters and Israeli forces in the Zaytoun neighborhood.
