Venezuela Warns U.S.: Stay Away from Our Coasts

Kokcha News Agency: Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez has accused the U.S. of hostile actions, including deploying warships to the Caribbean Sea, and warned Washington to stay clear of Venezuela’s coasts and lands. Speaking in Carabobo state, Rodriguez stated, “Solve your own problems and stay away from our coasts, stay away from Venezuelan territory. If the U.S. attempts to attack Venezuela, it will become their worst nightmare.”

Rodriguez claimed that the U.S. is intent on seizing Venezuela’s vast energy resources, describing the U.S. as an “imperialist and expansionist country that exploits nature and treats other nations as its colonies.” She also dismissed U.S. allegations that Venezuela has become a “narco-terrorist state,” calling the accusations “a great fraud and immorality.”

The tension between the U.S. and Venezuela has been escalating, with U.S. President Donald Trump recently increasing the reward for information leading to the arrest or conviction of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to $50 million. The U.S. has also labeled Maduro’s alleged drug trafficking organization, “Cartel de los Soles,” as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist.

In response to the U.S. military buildup in the region, Maduro has vowed to defend Venezuela’s sovereignty, stating, “We defend our seas, skies, and lands. No empire can touch Venezuela’s sacred territory or the sacred lands of South America.
