Kokcha News Agency: In a staged conference at the White House, Donald Trump presides over a grand table, boasting about managing global peace efforts. He speaks for five minutes, exaggerating his achievements—claiming he’s halted six wars and can silence ongoing conflicts, blaming Biden for the chaos, and asserting he will settle the current crises. Sitting around the table are Germany’s leaders, France, the UK, Italy, NATO, and the European Union, who listen and silently approve his claims.
Then, the Ukrainian president Zelensky makes emotional remarks, praising the “best” meeting with Trump, yet boldly states that the best is yet to come. Trump then casts paternalistic looks at the participants and orders NATO’s secretary-general to speak. World leaders from Western Europe follow, praising Trump’s supposed success, calling him a great strategist, charismatic, and a strong leader. Emmanuel Macron is lauded as a competent French leader, Keir Starmer as a prominent British figure, Friedrich Merz as a dynamic German leader, and Giorgia Meloni as a capable Italian leader. The children in the room cheer, and the chair of the assembly revels in the superficial display of prestige.
Meanwhile, the world suffers its worst days—marked by chaos, poverty, injustice, human rights violations, occupation, environmental catastrophe, resource scarcity for humanitarian aid, mass migrations, and numerous crises. Since World War II, no era has brought so much suffering, with the main perpetrators—the same political elite now posing as peacemakers—further deepening the crisis.
Questions remain unasked:
- How did the Middle East crisis start, and how far has it gone into a shameful disaster?
- What are the consequences of the failed global fight against terrorism?
- What happened to the Afghan people after reckless and unplanned military withdrawals?
- Who is accountable for the deteriorating situation of Afghan women, children, and youth?
- Who bombs children dying of hunger in Gaza?
- Who is responsible for the decline of charity and aid organizations that used to support victims of your wars?
- Can Israel attack independent Middle Eastern states without support from your governments?
Careful observation of Western leaders’ speeches confirms a harsh reality: when we refer to the “world community,” this is the image we see. Many might say global powers include Russia, China, India, Brazil, South Africa, and others, but that’s false. These nations spend a tiny fraction of the resources on managing global order. It is the US and Europe that pour billions into orchestrating and maintaining this so-called “world order” mechanism. Believe me, this is the true face of the global community. Believe me.
