U.S. and Israel Explore Plan to Take Control of Gaza for 10 Years

he Washington Post has reported that the U.S. president, in collaboration with Israel, is considering a plan to take control of Gaza, transforming it into a U.S.-administered zone for at least 10 years, with provisions for the temporary relocation of over 2 million Gazans.

Kokcha News Agency – According to a report by The Washington Post, the U.S. president, in coordination with Israel, is examining a plan to seize control of Gaza and administer it for a minimum of 10 years. The plan, titled the “Gaza Reconstruction, Economic Acceleration, and Transformation Trust” (GREAT Trust), envisions the temporary relocation or “voluntary exit” of more than 2 million Gazans to neighboring countries or safe zones.

As part of the proposal, the U.S. plans to offer incentives, including digital currency, to families in Gaza. Landowners would receive digital tokens to relinquish their development rights, and individuals could use these tokens to invest in other areas or purchase apartments in one of six to eight new “smart cities” equipped with AI technology in Gaza. Additionally, any Palestinian who voluntarily leaves Gaza would receive $5,000 in cash, a subsidy covering four years of rent elsewhere, and one year of food supplies.

The plan, reportedly drafted by some Israelis who previously established the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), claims that each voluntary exit from Gaza could save the trust $23,000.

During his election campaign and shortly after returning to the White House, former U.S. President Donald Trump had claimed he intended to quickly end the Gaza conflict. He later called on neighboring countries, including Egypt and Jordan, to accept Gazans as part of his plan to rebuild the region. Trump described Gaza as a “unique location on the coast with the best weather” and spoke of his plans for its reconstruction. However, his statements faced sharp international criticism, leading him to backtrack.

Now, it appears the U.S. is still pursuing a similar plan. Adel Haq, a law professor, told The Washington Post that any plan preventing Palestinians from returning to their homes or denying them adequate food, medical care, and shelter would be illegal, even if financial incentives are offered.

Abu Mohammed, a 55-year-old Palestinian father, despite the “catastrophic” conditions in Gaza, has vowed never to leave. He stated, “I live in a half-destroyed house in Khan Younis, but we can rebuild it. I won’t allow myself to be relocated to another country. This is my homeland.”
