Helicopter Crash in Pakistan Claims 5 Lives
A helicopter crash in Pakistan’s Gilgit-Baltistan region has reportedly resulted in the deaths of five people, according to initial assessments.

Kokcha News Agency – The accident occurred in the town of Chilas, as reported by Dawn newspaper. Faizullah Faraq, spokesperson for Gilgit-Baltistan, confirmed the incident.
Regional police official Abdul Hameed stated that the helicopter, owned by the local administration, crashed while attempting to land at a new airstrip. Initial reports indicate that five people lost their lives in the crash.
Hameed added that police and search-and-rescue teams have arrived at the scene following the accident.
While details regarding the cause of the crash have not been disclosed, some officials have suggested that the incident may have been due to a “technical fault.”
