Islamic Emirate’s Anti-Narcotics Efforts Praised at Qatar Meeting

Abdul Matin Qane, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior Affairs, announced on Wednesday that the Islamic Emirate’s efforts to combat narcotics were highly praised by numerous nations during an anti-drugs meeting held in Qatar.

The meeting, which took place on June 29 and was led by the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) and hosted by Qatar, saw participation from representatives of 29 countries worldwide. Delegates from the Narcotics Control Department of the Ministry of Interior of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan also attended the event.

According to Qane’s statement, the participating countries not only expressed appreciation for the Islamic Emirate’s anti-narcotics initiatives but also made full commitments to provide assistance and cooperation in the fight against drug trafficking. The meeting featured important discussions on joint efforts to combat narcotics, the establishment of alternative livelihoods for those affected by the drug trade, and the support and treatment of drug addicts.

Comprehensive talks were also held to enhance coordination between countries, share experiences, and pursue joint strategies in the global fight against narcotics.
