Taliban Intelligence Monitors Former Republic Officials in Kabul
The Taliban’s General Directorate of Intelligence has issued orders to closely monitor and restrict the activities of former Afghan Republic officials and politicians in Kabul, labeling them as hostages under surveillance.

Kokcha News Agency- The Taliban’s General Directorate of Intelligence, through its 069 (Special Pursuit) unit, has issued directives to Kabul’s security office to closely monitor and restrict the activities of former officials and politicians from the Republic era.
These individuals, now effectively held hostage in Kabul, are under strict surveillance, with their meetings with foreigners and gatherings being closely tracked.
The directive makes it clear that those who believed they could continue their activities freely in the capital based on personal connections, ethnic ties, or linguistic commonalities are now realizing that their movements are severely limited under the watchful eye of Taliban intelligence.
The fall of the Republic and its surrender to the Taliban militias marked not only the collapse of a system but also the decline of all politicians, regardless of their ethnic or linguistic affiliations. This reality is becoming increasingly evident as time passes.
