Turkey Condemns Israel’s Attack on Hamas Delegation in Qatar, Calls for International Action
Turkey's Ministry of National Defense strongly condemned Israel's recent attack on a Hamas negotiation delegation in Qatar, accusing Israel of adopting terrorism as state policy and destabilizing the region.

Kokcha News Agency – In a weekly press briefing, Rear Admiral Zeki Aktürk, Spokesperson for Turkey’s Ministry of National Defense, denounced Israel’s attack on a Hamas delegation in Qatar, stating that it reveals Israel’s policy of promoting terrorism, deepening instability, and opposing peace.
Aktürk emphasized that Israel’s reckless actions, if not actively stopped by the international community, could lead to further escalation and disaster across the region. He reiterated Turkey’s full support for Qatar, calling the attack a clear violation of sovereignty.
Aktürk also highlighted Turkey’s ongoing military operations, including the destruction of terrorist hideouts and tunnels in Syria, as well as border security efforts that have resulted in the arrest of 303 individuals attempting illegal crossings.
He stressed Turkey’s commitment to combating terrorism and maintaining regional stability, particularly in Syria, where military training and advisory activities have begun to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities.
In addition, Aktürk condemned Israel’s ongoing violence in Gaza, describing it as a humanitarian tragedy and a continuation of genocide. He called on the international community to take greater responsibility in addressing Israel’s actions.
The briefing also covered Turkey’s participation in various national and international military exercises, including NATO’s Dynamic Guard-II/2025 and other operations aimed at enhancing the Turkish Armed Forces’ effectiveness and deterrence.
