Israel Conducts 50 Overnight Airstrikes on Gaza Strip

The Israeli army announced that it carried out 50 airstrikes on the Gaza Strip overnight, intensifying its attacks on the besieged territory.

Kokcha.News — The Israeli army has conducted 50 airstrikes on the Gaza Strip overnight, with the majority of the attacks targeting Gaza City in the north, where ground operations recently began. The strikes are part of Israel’s ongoing bombardment, which has caused a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza over the past two years.

According to the Israeli military, its warplanes and artillery units have targeted over 150 locations in Gaza in the last 48 hours as part of its occupation efforts.

Israel is not only destroying homes and multi-story buildings where displaced Palestinians have sought refuge but also attempting to forcibly relocate Gaza City residents to the southern part of the Gaza Strip, claiming that tents, food, and hospitals are available there.

The Israeli army resumed its violent attacks on March 18, breaking a ceasefire that had been in place since January 19. Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip have killed at least 64,964 Palestinians and injured 165,312. Since the ceasefire was broken on March 18, 12,413 Palestinians have been killed, and 53,271 have been injured.

Additionally, systematic attacks on Palestinians at so-called humanitarian aid distribution points, allegedly coordinated by Israel and the U.S., have resulted in 2,497 deaths and 18,294 injuries since May 27.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced plans to fully occupy the Gaza Strip, signaling a long-term and expanded military presence in the territory.
