Kokcha News Agency – During his address at the United Nations General Assembly, French President Emmanuel Macron declared that France has officially recognized the State of Palestine. Macron emphasized France’s commitment to supporting peace and stability in the region, particularly in Gaza, which has been devastated by ongoing conflict.
Macron stated that France is prepared to join an international mission aimed at stabilizing the situation in Gaza. He also expressed France’s willingness to train and equip Palestinian security forces for a provisional government, highlighting the importance of building a sustainable framework for peace and security in the region.
The French president’s announcement comes amid increasing international pressure on Israel to end its occupation and military operations in Gaza, which have resulted in significant civilian casualties and widespread destruction. Macron’s recognition of Palestine aligns with a growing number of countries that have taken similar steps in recent years.
Macron also called for renewed diplomatic efforts to achieve a two-state solution, emphasizing the need for dialogue and cooperation between Israel and Palestine. He urged the international community to take collective action to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and support the reconstruction of the region.
