Hamas’s Military Wing Targets Israeli Jeep in Gaza, Killing Soldiers

Kokcha News Agency: The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, has claimed responsibility for an attack on an Israeli military jeep in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of soldiers from a covert unit known as “Musta’ribin.” The incident occurred on September 23 in the Sheikh Ridwan neighborhood, near the Behlul Junction in northern Gaza City.

In a written statement, the Al-Qassam Brigades confirmed that the jeep was targeted with explosives, killing the soldiers inside. The group also reported that on September 22, they had targeted two Israeli bulldozers in the northeastern part of Sheikh Ridwan using Yasin-105 rockets.

The “Musta’ribin” unit, which operates undercover, is known for its ability to blend in with the local population by speaking Arabic and dressing like Palestinians. Israel has been using these forces in Gaza for tasks such as searching homes, locating tunnels and resistance fighters, and planting explosives since the start of its ground offensive in the territory.

The Israeli Security Cabinet approved a plan to occupy Gaza City on August 8, and the military launched a large-scale operation on August 11 to seize control of the city.
