Kokcha News Agency: Following the two-day meeting in Islamabad, titled “Towards Unity and Trust,” which brought together Afghan political figures and their Pakistani counterparts, the Embassy of Afghanistan in Tajikistan (Little Afghanistan) has released a statement outlining key points regarding the future of Afghanistan.

The embassy’s statement highlights the following:

  1. Support for Peace and Stability: The Embassy of Afghanistan welcomes and supports any initiative or process that sincerely aims to achieve lasting peace, stability, good governance, accountability, the protection of women’s rights, and the strengthening of friendly neighborly relations.
  2. Need for Genuine Dialogue: Afghanistan is in greater need than ever of a real, transparent, and independent dialogue, free from external pressures. Any effort in this direction will be valuable and positive only if it is based on the free will of the Afghan people and mutual trust.
  3. Avoiding External Manipulation: Past experiences have shown that exploiting the suffering and aspirations of the Afghan people for external political purposes has not only led to distrust but has also exacerbated the crisis. Therefore, it is hoped that the Islamabad meeting will focus solely on fostering unity among the Afghan people and strengthening mutual understanding between the two nations, free from any hidden motives or interference.
  4. National Consensus Against Extremism: The embassy believes that only a national and popular consensus, free from discrimination and exclusivity, can serve as a real alternative to the extremism and monopolization of the Taliban.

The Embassy of Afghanistan in Tajikistan reiterates its support for the principles of peace, stability, and constructive dialogue, while firmly opposing any political exploitation of the Afghan people’s suffering.

Statement Signed by:
Major General Mohammad Zaher Aghbar
Ambassador and Political Representative of the Afghan People
in the Republic of Tajikistan
