The Israeli army has issued a new evacuation order for Palestinians in several areas of northern Gaza, warning of intensified military operations in the region.
News Details:
Israeli Army Spokesperson Avichay Adraee shared a map on X (formerly Twitter) dividing the Gaza Strip into numbered blocks, with “restricted areas” marked in red. According to the map, residents in blocks 602, 699, 715, 716, and 717 in Gaza City must evacuate immediately. Adraee urged Palestinians in these areas to move to the southern Muwasi region and not return, threatening that the Israeli army would launch heavy attacks on the marked zones.
Escalation of Israeli Attacks on Gaza
The Israeli army resumed its violent attacks on the Gaza Strip on the morning of March 18, following a ceasefire that had been in place since January 19. Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s military operations in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of at least 57,012 Palestinians and injured 134,592 others.
From March 18, when Israel broke the ceasefire, to the present, 6,454 Palestinians have been killed, and 22,551 have been injured. Additionally, systematic attacks on humanitarian aid distribution zones, established under the Israel-US-backed “Gaza Humanitarian Aid Foundation,” have led to the deaths of 640 Palestinians and injured 4,488 others since May 27.
Expansion of Israeli Occupation
The Israeli army has begun implementing a plan to expand and solidify its occupation of the Gaza Strip. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that Israel intends to fully occupy the entire Gaza Strip.
