Death Toll in Israeli Attacks on Gaza Rises by 66 in Last 24 Hours, Reaching 67,074
The death toll from Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen by 66 in the last 24 hours, reaching a total of 67,074, according to the Gaza Health Ministry.
In a written statement, the Gaza Health Ministry shared the latest figures on casualties and injuries resulting from Israel’s ongoing attacks.
It was reported that in the last 24 hours, 66 dead and 265 injured individuals were brought to hospitals in the Gaza Strip.
Since Israel broke the ceasefire on March 18, which had been agreed upon on January 19, 13,486 Palestinians have been killed, and 57,389 have been injured in the attacks.
In systematic attacks on Palestinian civilians at Israeli-U.S.-backed so-called aid distribution points, the number of those killed since May 27 has risen to 2,603, with 19,094 injured.
The total death toll from Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has now reached 67,074, with 169,430 injured.
The Health Ministry’s statement also noted that the Forensic Medicine Authority has added 720 more individuals to the total death toll after evaluating and confirming missing persons reports and tips.
Two Children Die of Starvation
The ministry also reported that two children died in the last 24 hours due to starvation and malnutrition.
The statement added that the total number of deaths due to malnutrition has risen to 459, including 154 children.
The continued Israeli attacks on Gaza have led to a catastrophic humanitarian crisis, with thousands of lives lost and many more injured. The international community must urgently intervene to stop these attacks and address the severe humanitarian needs in Gaza.
