Trump: Israel Has Accepted the First Withdrawal Line
U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Israel has agreed to withdraw to the "first line of withdrawal" from Gaza and that an immediate ceasefire will take effect if Hamas confirms the agreement.

Kokcha News Agency: U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that Israel has accepted the “first line of withdrawal” from Gaza, and an immediate ceasefire will be implemented if Hamas confirms the agreement. In a post on the U.S.-based social media platform Truth Social, Trump said, “Following negotiations, Israel has accepted the first withdrawal line we presented and shared with Hamas.”
The U.S. President added that if Hamas also approves, “the ceasefire will take effect immediately,” followed by the start of prisoner exchange procedures.
Describing the situation in Gaza as a “3,000-year-old disaster,” Trump suggested that these developments indicate that “the end of this disaster is near.”
Trump also pointed out that after the completion of the first phase, the necessary conditions will be in place for Israel to withdraw to the second line.
Hamas had previously announced its acceptance of the prisoner exchange outlined in Trump’s Gaza plan, while stating that other aspects of the plan needed further negotiation.
Trump had earlier expressed his belief that Hamas is ready for a lasting peace, urging Israel to immediately halt its bombardment of Gaza to ensure the safe and swift release of prisoners.
The U.S. President also acknowledged the role of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in persuading Hamas to release the hostages, stating, “Erdoğan was very helpful. He’s a tough guy, but he’s my friend, and he did a great job.”
