Brent Crude Oil Trades at $62.73 per Barrel

Brent crude oil is trading at $62.73 per barrel in international markets, reflecting a decline amid ongoing trade uncertainties between the U.S. and China.

Kokcha News Agency – Brent crude oil is currently trading at $62.73 per barrel, marking a 0.71% decrease as of 09:37 AM today. Yesterday, the price of Brent crude rose to $63.71 per barrel before closing at $63.18.

The decline in oil prices is largely attributed to uncertainties surrounding trade policies between the U.S. and China. Last week, U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to impose additional tariffs on China, including a 100% duty on certain Chinese exports, starting November 1. However, Trump later reassured that there was no need to worry and that everything would work out.

U.S. Vice President JD Vance also stated that the U.S. is ready to negotiate if China is willing to act reasonably but warned that the U.S. has “many more cards to play” if China does not cooperate.

Despite these conciliatory statements from U.S. officials, the uncertainty surrounding the trade talks between the two economic giants continues to fuel demand concerns.

Additionally, the reduction of geopolitical risks in the Middle East has also contributed to the downward trend in oil prices. Yesterday, the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit was held in Egypt, where numerous leaders discussed the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, further easing tensions in the region.

Meanwhile, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) released its monthly oil market report yesterday, maintaining its global oil demand growth forecasts for this year and the next, signaling stable demand growth.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) is set to release its oil market report today, which will be closely monitored for demand estimates and supply projections.

From a technical perspective, Brent crude is facing resistance at $69.58 and support at $62.03.
