Over 67,000 Palestinians Killed in Gaza by Israeli Forces Since October 7, 2023
The Gaza Health Ministry reports that more than 67,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in Gaza since October 7, 2023, with independent estimates suggesting the actual death toll could exceed 84,000 by early 2025 due to underreporting.
Kokcha News Agency — According to the Gaza Health Ministry (MoH), the total number of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in Gaza from October 7, 2023, to October 7, 2025, has surpassed 67,000. This figure is corroborated by UN agencies and reflects the devastating impact of Israel’s military actions in the region.
Due to the sheer volume of data (731 days) and reporting lags (e.g., bodies under rubble or indirect deaths from famine and disease), the MoH has provided monthly averages of daily deaths as a proxy for daily trends. These averages highlight the ongoing violence and its toll on Gaza’s population.
Independent estimates, including those published in The Lancet, suggest that the actual death toll could be significantly higher, potentially exceeding 84,000 by early 2025. This discrepancy is attributed to underreporting, particularly of indirect deaths caused by famine, disease, and the destruction of critical infrastructure.
