Funerals Held in Gaza Streets as Ceasefire Takes Effect

Kokcha News Agency: In a written statement, Mahmoud Basal, the spokesperson for the Civil Defense, said, “Since the ceasefire came into effect, the bodies of 63 martyrs have been recovered from the streets of Gaza city.”

Basal added, “Dozens of martyrs are still trapped under rubble and waiting in the streets. The presence of the Israeli army in some areas is making it difficult for rescue teams to reach them.”

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to worsen. Israeli attacks have destroyed much of the city’s infrastructure, including hospitals and civil defense facilities. Rescue teams are facing significant challenges in reaching those trapped under the rubble due to a lack of materials and fuel.

Since October 8, 2023, Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip have resulted in the deaths of 67,211 Palestinians, with 169,961 others injured.
