Managed Geopolitical Conflict Continues: Taliban’s “Show of Independence” After Pakistani Airstrikes

Kokcha News Agency – The Taliban, who remained silent during Pakistan’s airstrikes last night, have now initiated a “show of independence” to salvage their tarnished reputation. Tonight, Taliban fighters targeted Pakistani military positions along the Durand Line, capturing and destroying several border checkpoints. Unofficial sources report that up to 30 Pakistani soldiers may have been killed.

In response, Pakistani F-16 fighter jets bombed Taliban positions in the provinces of Helmand, Kandahar, Nangarhar, and Paktika. However, the Taliban’s Ministry of Defense declared the “end of operations” by midnight, suggesting that their symbolic mission was complete.

Experts argue that these clashes are less of a real war and more of a bilateral game to manipulate public opinion and maintain a geopolitical balance. The Taliban play the role of the “independent victim,” while Pakistan acts as the “angry master.”

Meanwhile, the people of Afghanistan once again bear the cost of the Taliban’s “manufactured independence.”
