Part of Palestinian Prisoners Released by Israel in Prisoner Exchange Reaches Gaza
A portion of the Palestinian prisoners released by Israel as part of the first phase of the prisoner exchange agreement has arrived in the Gaza Strip.

Kokcha News Agency – In the first phase of the prisoner exchange agreement, Israel has released a number of Palestinian prisoners, some of whom have now reached the Gaza Strip. The released prisoners were transferred to Nasser Hospital in the southern Gaza Strip for health checks.
Earlier, some of the Palestinian prisoners released from Ofer Prison as part of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza had arrived in Ramallah.
Hamas, as part of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in Gaza, handed over 20 Israeli prisoners to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), releasing all healthy Israeli prisoners.
In the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, Israel released 96 Palestinian prisoners, including some who had been sentenced to “life imprisonment.”
The Palestinian Prisoners Media Office also published a list of 250 Palestinian prisoners sentenced to “life imprisonment” who are set to be released under the ceasefire agreement, along with 1,718 individuals detained by Israel since October 2023.
Ceasefire and Prisoner Exchange Agreement in Gaza:
U.S. President Donald Trump announced on October 9 that Israel and Hamas had approved the first phase of the ceasefire plan in Gaza during ongoing negotiations in Egypt. The agreement was signed in Egypt and came into effect in the early hours of October 10, with the approval of the Israeli government.
Following the Israeli army’s withdrawal from the “yellow line” as specified in the agreement, the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip was declared effective from 12:00 PM on the same day.
Between October 8, 2023, and the ceasefire agreement, Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip resulted in the deaths of 67,682 people and injuries to 170,033 others.
