Hamas: We Will Seriously Proceed Until the End of the Agreement Implementation

Hussam Badran, a member of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, emphasized early Monday that "We are proceeding with complete seriousness and honesty until the end of the implementation of the ceasefire agreement, and we appreciate the role of Egypt and the mediating countries in stabilizing the ceasefire and supporting the interests of the Palestinian people."

Badran stated that a delegation from the movement is in Cairo to follow up on the implementation stages of the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement.

He also emphasized the seriousness of Hamas and other Palestinian groups in advancing the commitments of this agreement.

Badran said: “This is the first meeting in Cairo after the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement, and its goal is to determine the practical measures of the next stage.”

According to Badran, the Palestinian national agreement exists in all files and issues under consideration at this meeting.

At the end, Badran considered the main goal of the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement to be stopping the war and the killing of the Palestinian people and said: “We are very eager that there should be no excuse to return the situation to the past conditions in Gaza.”

According to KokchaNEWS, the “Sharm el-Sheikh” meeting was held on Mehr 14 to review Donald Trump’s proposed plan for a ceasefire, and during it, Hamas and Israel talked with the mediation of Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, and three days later, early on Mehr 17, Hamas announced its agreement with the ceasefire agreement, and then on Mehr 21, 1404, a meeting was held in Sharm el-Sheikh under the joint presidency of the presidents of Egypt and America, Abdelfattah al-Sisi and Donald Trump, for the official signing of the ceasefire agreement, and leaders and representatives of more than 20 countries, including England, France, Germany, Norway, Qatar, Turkey, Jordan, and the Palestinian Authority, were present at the meeting.

Trump and the leaders of Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey, the countries that played a key mediating role in the agreement, held an official ceremony to sign the Gaza peace plan. But the noteworthy point is that the two main parties to this agreement, namely Israel and Hamas, were not present at the signing ceremony.

The US President signed the agreement known as the Gaza Peace Agreement at the meeting along with other regional leaders.
