Suspicious death in Moscow: Russian vice president fell from window
An investigation has been launched into the death of Andrey Badalov, Vice President of Russian oil pipeline operator Transneft, who fell from a window in Moscow.
Andrey Badalov, Vice President of Transneft, died after falling from a window in Moscow. According to a report by the TASS news agency, citing a law enforcement source, Badalov’s body was found beneath the windows of a house on Rublevskoye Highway.
The source stated that the preliminary cause of death was suicide.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation is conducting an investigation into Badalov’s death, which could lead to a decision on whether to initiate criminal proceedings for incitement to suicide or to close the case.
Badalov, who reportedly fell from the 17th floor, was said to have been suffering from health issues.
Badalov had been serving as Transneft’s Vice President in charge of digital transformation and information technology since 2021.
