Flooding in Texas Causes at Least 27 Deaths, Including 9 Children
Severe rains in Texas have led to devastating floods, resulting in the deaths of at least 27 people, including 9 children, with ongoing search and rescue efforts underway.

Kokche News Agency reports that the heavy rainfall in Texas’s Kerr County has caused flash floods after the Guadalupe River overflowed. Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha announced that the flood has claimed 27 lives, with nine of the victims being children.
Eight people have been injured, and approximately 850 residents have been evacuated to safety.
Kerrville Mayor Dalton Rice disclosed that 27 children remain missing from a Christian summer camp near the riverbank, which is currently under active search and rescue operations.
Amid the tragedy, U.S. President Donald Trump shared on Truth Social that the administration is working closely with local Texas authorities.
Additionally, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is reported to be heading to Texas to coordinate efforts. Trump expressed heartfelt sympathies, saying, “Melania and I are praying for all the families affected by this terrible disaster. Our brave first responders are there doing what they do best.”
