Palantir and The Nuclear Company Partner to Develop AI Platform for Faster Nuclear Reactor Construction

Palantir Technologies, a leading software developer, has announced a partnership with The Nuclear Company to develop an AI-based software system designed to revolutionize the construction of nuclear reactors. The two companies are working on what they describe as the first AI software system specifically tailored to ensure nuclear reactors are built on time and within budget.

The new platform, known as the Nuclear Operating System (NOS), is part of Palantir’s Warp Speed manufacturing initiative, which provides material resource planning and allows users to customize and accelerate each product line in real time based on unique constraints and goals.

The companies claim that NOS will offer production teams “instant, up-to-date guidance” adapted to real-time constraints, ensuring program certainty. This will enable teams to plan their work efficiently and avoid downtime. The system will also track and verify the supply chain, preventing shipping errors, material shortages, and document losses.

Additionally, if there is a possibility of delay, NOS will allow for task prioritization or the initiation of backup options, thereby saving costs.
