Trump and Netanyahu Discuss Gaza Ceasefire, Iran, and Ukraine at White House Meeting

U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a meeting at the White House, where they discussed key regional issues, including the Gaza ceasefire, Iran, and Ukraine. Trump expressed optimism about the ceasefire efforts in Gaza, stating, “We are on the path to peace in Gaza. We are very hopeful. Hamas also wants a ceasefire. There is no obstacle to an Israel-Hamas ceasefire,” and noted that “things are going very well.”
Netanyahu emphasized the joint efforts between the U.S. and Israel to find countries that can offer a better future for Palestinians, saying, “We are working with the U.S. to find countries that can offer a better future for the Palestinians.”
Regarding the ongoing tensions with Iran, Trump stated, “I hope we don’t have to attack Iran again. The nuclear tumors have been removed. We believe everything will calm down in the Middle East. We have planned talks with Iran. Iran wants to talk with us. It could happen next week.”
Trump also mentioned that the U.S. would send more weapons to Ukraine.
Prior to the meeting, Netanyahu held discussions with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Donald Trump’s Middle East Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.
Nobel Peace Prize Proposal:
Before the meeting, Netanyahu handed Trump a letter proposing him for the Nobel Peace Prize, referencing Trump’s efforts in the Middle East.
