Kokcha News Agency: During a meeting with Jasem Al-Budaiwi, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Japan’s Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya stated that Tokyo will continue its diplomatic efforts to ensure the implementation of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran.
According to a report by Anadolu Agency, the Japanese Foreign Ministry issued a statement in which Iwaya emphasized Japan’s commitment to maintaining dialogue and ensuring a lasting ceasefire between the two nations.
Iwaya also highlighted the importance of strengthening political and economic relations between Japan and the GCC, signaling Japan’s interest in deepening its engagement with the Gulf region.
The meeting between Iwaya and Al-Budaiwi took place in Tokyo, where both sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation and address regional challenges, including the ongoing tensions between Israel and Iran.
