Kokcha News Agency: In an official statement, Iran’s Nuclear Safety Center has clarified that there is no evidence of depleted uranium being used in recent enemy attacks on the country. The statement comes in response to rumors circulating on social media suggesting that the aggressor had employed depleted uranium in its attacks.
The statement reads:
“To inform the honorable people of Iran, investigations conducted so far have not revealed any signs of the use of depleted uranium. In recent days, there have been reports on social media about the use of depleted uranium by the aggressor enemy in brutal attacks on Iran. However, we assure the people of Iran that no evidence of depleted uranium has been found in the investigations conducted so far.”
The center also noted that depleted uranium is typically used in armor-piercing projectiles fired by tanks or aircraft to increase the penetrative power of the warheads.
