In a landmark moment, after 47 years, the PKK terrorist organization is officially laying down its arms today as part of Turkey’s ongoing peace and stability process. The first stage involves the surrender and destruction of weapons in Süleymaniye, marking a significant step toward a terror-free future.

The convoy is accompanied by special security units from the Kurdish Regional Government (IKBY).
In the symbolic event scheduled in Raperin district, approximately 33 to 44 members of the PKK will voluntarily surrender their weapons at a specific point. The event is being closely observed by journalists and international observers eager to witness this historic disarmament.
