Will the Israel-Iran war start again?
Despite a recent ceasefire following an 12-day conflict, new signs suggest the risk of Israel and Iran heading toward renewed hostilities. According to US Newsweek, key indicators highlight escalating military build-up and regional tensions, raising concerns over a potential new outbreak of conflict.

Kokcha News Agency reports that while recent fighting between Israel and Iran has temporarily paused, the US-based Newsweek highlights four critical signs that could signal the possibility of renewed war. During the escalation, Iran acquired Chinese-made surface-to-air missile batteries—aimed at repairing their defenses damaged by Israel—and sought to modernize their Russian-backed air defense systems with Chinese fighter jets, which Beijing claimed could be supplied to “friendly countries.”
Meanwhile, Israel also ramped up military activities, increasing air patrols over Lebanon, forming new internal security units, and redeploying reserve troops near the frontlines—all officially confirmed by Defense Minister Israel Katz. The US responded by accelerating weapons shipments to Israel, providing advanced precision munitions and missile defense systems to bolster their defenses.
Could Iran Use Nuclear Facilities?
While Washington claims that Iran’s nuclear facilities have been destroyed, no definitive evidence suggests they are entirely non-operational. Iran continues uranium enrichment and developing advanced centrifuges, raising fears that nuclear capabilities might still be used if conflict escalates. After ceasefire agreements with Israel, Iran suspended cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and ongoing US-Iran nuclear negotiations remain uncertain.
Netanyahu and Trump’s Unified Stance
Despite recent differences, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former US President Donald Trump have recently aligned in their stance on Iran’s nuclear program and regional militias. Netanyahu praised US support, declared Israel’s readiness to defend itself, and even nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, emphasizing strong collaboration.
Houthi Attacks Increasing Tensions
According to Newsweek, Iran-backed groups like Yemen’s Houthis are escalating attacks against Israeli targets, increasing the risk of conflict. The Houthis claimed they targeted Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv with ballistic missiles and recently sank two ships in the Red Sea—moves seen as part of Iran’s broader strategic pressure on Israel and the possible escalation of regional conflicts.
With signs of military escalation, regional proxy attacks, and unresolved nuclear issues, experts warn that the risk of renewed war between Israel and Iran remains high. The international community closely watches these developments, fearing a widening regional conflict.
