EU Imports of Russian Oil Reach Highest Level in Three Months
The European Union’s imports of Russian oil have surged to their highest level in the past three months, with purchases increasing by 5.5% in May, reaching €407.4 million.

Kokcha News Agency: In May, the European Union’s imports of Russian oil rose by 5.5%, hitting €407.4 million, the highest level since February of this year.
Of this amount, Slovakia accounted for €205.9 million, a 5.8% decrease compared to April, while Hungary paid €201.5 million, increasing its imports by 22%.
Overall, from January to May, the EU purchased Russian oil worth €2.3 billion, down from €2.9 billion during the same period last year.
Despite ongoing geopolitical tensions and sanctions, the EU’s reliance on Russian oil remains significant, though it has seen a slight decline compared to the previous year.
