Storm Capsizes Tourist Boat in Vietnam, Leaving 34 Dead and 8 Missing

A sudden storm capsized a tourist boat in Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay, resulting in the deaths of 34 people, mostly tourists, with 8 still missing, according to officials.

Kokcha News Agency: A tourist boat carrying 48 passengers and 5 crew members capsized in Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay due to a sudden storm. Authorities reported that 11 people were rescued, 34 bodies were recovered, and 8 people remain missing.

Rescue operations involved border guards, navy personnel, police, and port authorities, with 27 boats and 2 rescue vessels dispatched to the scene. A command center was established to coordinate the search and rescue efforts.

Earlier, the Navy Command had stated that 12 people were rescued, but this number was later updated to 11. Most of the passengers on the boat, named **The Wonder Sea**, were tourists, and approximately 20 of them were children.
