Joint Naval Exercise Between Iran and Russia to Begin Tomorrow
The 2025 Combined Search and Rescue Naval Exercise (CASAREX 2025), hosted by the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy, will commence tomorrow in the Caspian Sea and last for three days.

Kokcha News Agency: The 2025 Combined Search and Rescue Naval Exercise (CASAREX 2025), hosted by the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy, will begin tomorrow in the Caspian Sea and continue for three days.
The exercise, held under the slogan “Together for a Safe and Secure Caspian Sea”, will involve naval forces from the Iranian Army, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), and the Federal Navy of Russia. Observers from other Caspian Sea littoral states will also be present.
The primary objective of the exercise is to enhance maritime safety and security and to increase naval cooperation among the Caspian Sea littoral states. The exercise will focus on search and rescue operations, disaster response, and improving the coordination and interoperability of naval forces in the region.
This joint exercise underscores the growing strategic partnership between Iran and Russia in the Caspian Sea, a region of significant geopolitical and economic importance. It also reflects the shared commitment of Caspian Sea nations to maintaining stability and security in the area.
