White House Says Trump “Caught Off Guard” by Israeli Bombardment in Syria
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated on Monday that U.S. President Donald Trump was "caught off guard" by Israel's bombardment of Syria and attacks on a church in Gaza.
Kokcha News Agency – Leavitt said that Trump spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after both incidents and “asked him to rectify these situations.”
However, she also emphasized that Trump has “a good working relationship” with Netanyahu and is in “frequent communication” with him.
The press secretary concluded her statement by saying that Trump wants “the killings to end, a ceasefire to be reached in the region,” and desires “the release of all hostages in Gaza.”
