Third Round of Russia-Ukraine Talks Set for This Week in Turkey Amid Conflicting Dates
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced Wednesday talks in Istanbul, while Russian state media TASS cited sources claiming discussions will begin Thursday, highlighting coordination uncertainties.

Ukraine and Russia are preparing for a third round of negotiations in Turkey this week, though conflicting reports about the exact date have emerged.
President Zelenskyy stated in a Monday night video address that talks with Russian delegates are scheduled for Wednesday in Istanbul, focusing on prisoner exchanges and other critical issues. He confirmed coordination with Rustam Umerov, Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council.
However, Russia’s TASS news agency cited an unnamed source claiming the talks will begin on Thursday, July 24, with delegations possibly arriving in Istanbul as early as Tuesday, July 22. Further details are expected to be clarified on Tuesday.
The talks follow two previous failed attempts to broker ceasefires or humanitarian agreements amid ongoing hostilities.
