Gaza hunger war: Israeli soldier buried food in the ground
Israeli soldiers have confessed to destroying food, drinking water, and medical supplies in over a thousand aid trucks waiting to enter Gaza, where 83 children have already died from starvation.
The hunger crisis in Gaza, under Israeli bombardment and blockade, is worsening by the day. The Palestinian Health Ministry announced that, as of yesterday, the number of Palestinians who have died from starvation and malnutrition since October 7, 2023, has reached 122, including 83 children.
Disturbing images from the region show emaciated individuals, some fainting or too weak to walk, as Israeli soldiers continue to block access to food. In a shocking admission, Israeli soldiers revealed that they destroyed food, drinking water, and medical supplies in over a thousand aid trucks that were left to rot under the sun at the Kerem Abu Salem border crossing.
An Israeli officer, speaking to KAN state television, confirmed the destruction, stating, “We buried everything in the ground. We also burned some of the aid supplies.” The officer added, “There are still thousands of aid packages waiting in the sun. If they are not allowed into Gaza, we will destroy them too.”
The World Food Programme (WFP) has warned that one in three people in Gaza has not eaten for days, and the risk of famine is spreading.
Since March 2, Israel has avoided implementing ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreements with Hamas. Hundreds of aid trucks ready to enter Gaza have been stranded at the border, with Israel keeping the crossings closed, leading to the deaths of thousands of civilians.
