Fire Breaks Out at Oil Depot in Russia’s Sochi, Ukraine Drone Attack Blamed

A fire erupted at an oil depot in Sochi, Russia, with the regional governor attributing the blaze to a drone attack by the Ukrainian military.

Kokcha News Agency reports that a fire broke out at an oil depot in the Russian city of Sochi, with the regional governor stating that the cause was a drone attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The incident occurred following Ukraine’s claim that Russia had targeted a facility at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant.

A large number of firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the blaze. According to reports, 120 firefighters are currently working to control the fire.

In response to the incident, Russia’s civil aviation authority announced that flights at Sochi Airport have been suspended to ensure air traffic safety.
