Hamas Offers Aid to Israeli Captives in Exchange for Gaza Humanitarian Corridors
Hamas has stated its readiness to respond to Red Cross requests to deliver food and medicine to Israeli captives in Gaza, conditional on the opening of humanitarian corridors for all Palestinians in the besieged territory.

Amidst growing concerns about starvation in Gaza due to the ongoing blockade, Hamas has responded to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s appeal to the Red Cross for food and medicine for the captives.
The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas’s armed wing, announced their willingness to cooperate with the Red Cross for the delivery of food and medicine to Israeli captives, provided that humanitarian corridors are opened for all Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Qassam spokesman Abu Ubaida stated on his Telegram account, “The Qassam Brigades are ready to approach and respond positively to any request from the Red Cross to deliver food and medicine to Israeli captives.”
He further added that accepting this requires the “continuous and natural opening of humanitarian corridors to provide food and medicine to our people in all areas of the Gaza Strip, and the cessation of all flights when packages are delivered to the captives.”
Abu Ubaida emphasized that Qassam Brigades are “not deliberately starving Israeli captives” and that the captives eat what the Palestinian people eat.
He stressed that Israeli captives “cannot obtain a special privilege” while Israel’s policy of starvation and blockade against the Palestinian people continues.
The statement also references a recent video released by Qassam of Israeli captive Evyatar David, where he described the hunger in Gaza and his deteriorating condition, claiming he was digging his own grave inside the tunnel where he was being held.
David appealed to Netanyahu, saying he felt abandoned and that everything he had learned about the care of captives in Israel was a lie.
